  • Azerbaijan: Special working group on the Caspian legal status will meet in Baku on the level of deputy FMs (to 13SEP).
  • Cuba: 15th anniversary of the arrest of four Cuban intelligence agents by the US, Cuba’s Communist government is urging a display of yellow ribbons in an appeal to the US to release them – 1998
  • Indonesia: US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Russel will visit Jakarta for discussions with senior Indonesian government officials on a range of bilateral and regional matters.
  • Japan and Russia: First round of bilateral consultations on cyber security will begin in Moscow (to 13SEP).
  • Korean Peninsula: US Special Representative for policy on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Glyn Davies will visit Japan for meetings with Japanese government officials including Director-General for Asian and Oceanian Affairs Junichi Ihara (to 13SEP).
